Since inception, The Westchester Community Foundation has operated as an affiliate of The New York Community Trust.
As part of our centennial celebrations, we are creating a single, unified organization to more powerfully advocate for our region with one voice.
We will still maintain our physical offices in Westchester with the same dedicated staff who will continue to honor and build upon our relationships with local nonprofits and communities.

The New York Community Trust. For Westchester. Forever.
On April 7, 2022 the Westchester Community Foundation was proud to accept the Transformative Impact Award from the Child Care Council of Westchester during their Dream Big 2022 Annual Celebration. The award was in recognition of WCF’s longstanding support of the Council’s advocacy to increase child care subsidies. When the COVID-19 pandemic started in March 2020, WFC created the COVID-19 Response Fund to provide rapid response grants. One of its first grants, awarded April 9, 2020 was a $150,000 grant to the Council and ensured that children of emergency workers, first responders, and health-care providers who were standing on the front lines of the crisis would have adequate, consistent childcare options.
We are proud of working with the Child Care Council of Westchester and the other honorees.
